Clubs & Organizations
Geology Society – open to students interested in just about any aspect of geology – most members are in the SGEE. A variety of events and projects are sponsored through the organization during the year, including day-long to week-long field trips. Dr. Busbey is the faculty advisor.
Environmental Science Club – a club is open to students interested in all aspects of the environment. Dr. Slattery and Professor Argenbright are the faculty advisors.
Sigma Gamma Epsilon – the TCU branch of the National Earth Sciences Honor Society open to SGEE majors with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher, a GPA of 3.25 or higher in the Earth Sciences and 10 hours or more of earth science courses. Drs. Busbey and Mayne serve as faculty advisors.
AAPG Student Chapter – the TCU branch of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists students group. Dr. Xie serves as the faculty advisor.
TCU Energy Club – a cross-campus club open to students who are interested in any aspects of energy. There are scholarships and awards available to members of the club. Talks and field trips occur throughout the academic year. Dr. K. Morgan serves as the faculty advisor.
TCU Wildlife Society – an organization that combines the outdoors, wildlife and human interaction in a conscious effort to understand our impacts, how we can minimize those impacts, as well as learn to live with wildlife in urban areas and prolong wildlife habitats not yet severely influenced or decreased by human expansion. Dr. Tory Bennett is the faculty advisor.
